Wet, windy weather and a tight, sodden Willunga Golf Course challenged our Sharp Cup boys against a strong Tea Tree Gully side in the final match of the minor round season on Sunday.
We had it all to play for, with the winner to take 3rd spot on the ladder and the loser to finish 4th, leading into the semi finals.
It was a tight tussle all day with the result in doubt until the final hole, where Hunter, at number one, halved with his opponent. Strong wins to Alan and Angus, losses to Matt and Nate, and the half to Hunter was enough for a draw, but ultimately not enough to secure 3rd place on the ladder.
However, despite an inconsistent season, the result see us move into a semi final match around our home track, against an undefeated Royal Adelaide side.
Go well boys.
