Our Sharp Cup team faced some tough competition against Royal Adelaide on Sunday, going down 3.5-1.5.

We saw another strong win to Hunter at number one over an excellent opponent. Matt was promoted to number two and took his match to the 18th where it was halved with two solid pars – unfortunately, Matt’s putt to win stopped a roll short of the cup). Angus again played well but fell just short, losing 2&1, whilst Bill and Alex both had see sawing matches, with the lead exchanging many times, but ultimately both players ran out of holes at the end.

Over three rounds, we have played 7 boys. There has been some really good golf, and some lapses, but it has all been played in great spirit. Stand outs have been Hunter and Matt, with Alan and Angus also playing well. Sharp Cup debutants Nate, Alex and Bill have all put in good performances but are yet to win. Their time will come.

Our challenge this week is against Kooyonga, in a match that looks like it will be critical in our run to semi-finals.
