Our Sharp Cup boys went into their semi-final match on Sunday as distinct underdogs against an undefeated Royal Adelaide.

However, with home course on our side, the boys turned in a very strong performance to win 3-2 and book a place in the final next week.

Leading us out at number five, Matt battled hard but never found his rhythm. He lost on the 17th hole, 2&1.

Angus led early and never looked back. He finished with a 6&4 win that could have been more.

At number three, Bill led his match early but was beaten in the end by an outstanding putting display from his opponent. He lost 3&1 chasing a win on the 17th.

Alan continued his strong season with another win against a highly rated player. At any other club, he would be playing number one.

The result came down to the 18th with our number one, Hunter leading 1 up. Trading shots, he halved the hole to secure his win and the overall match.

A very impressive team performance by the boys that has secured a spot in next week’s final against Tea Tree Gully.
