We took on Glenelg at Tea Tree Gully Golf Club in very blustery and cold conditions on Sunday.

We put in a strategic team this week as we thought Glenelg would have higher handicaps and we didn’t want to be in the position to give away too many shots, and thus give us the best possible chance to cement our number two position on the table.

The gamble paid off with the most shots being given was eight by Max. Benji and Kaylah were equal with their opponents, Brock had to give three shots and Genna had a walk over. Genna made the most of her time cheering on the team all day, even while shivering!

The resilience and fighting spirit of the team was very evident all day. No more so than Kaylah, who was 4 down with five holes to play.

A great effort by all. Everyone performed amazingly well and all the matches were very tight with three of the four going all the way to the 18th hole. We eventually took out the win 3-2.

Next week we play Kooyonga at Willunga Golf Course. This will be a very tough match but, regardless of the result, should still see us compete in the finals, which will be played at home.
